Founder & High School Mathematics Specialist

My journey with tutoring began in 2005, when I was still in high school.

I know what it feels like to struggle with mathematics. In Grade 8, math was not a subject that came naturally to me. That changed in Grade 9, when I received the right support and began to understand the concepts rather than simply trying to memorize steps.

That experience changed the way I viewed mathematics — and ultimately inspired me to help other students experience that same shift. I began tutoring and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed taking a concept that seemed difficult and finding a way to make it understandable.

Over the years, tutoring has grown into a specialized practice focused exclusively on high school mathematics, including Academic, Applied, IB, and AP pathways.

Today, I bring more than 20 years of tutoring experience to Right Angle Tutoring, combining subject expertise with a structured, concept-first approach designed to help students become stronger and more independent learners.

Our Approach

Concept before memorization.

Mathematics becomes much easier when students understand why something works. Rather than teaching students to memorize a formula or follow a set of steps, we focus on developing genuine understanding — recognizing patterns, connecting concepts, and applying knowledge to unfamiliar problems.
